New release: Spider-Girl, Issue #11

Spider-Girl defeated! Dr Octopus on the loose! And Betty's brother, Bennett, appearing in her life... but why?

Issue #11: My Brother, Myself!
Download from Maskingwriter (Yahoo! Group)

The second half of this four-issue arc... things get very interesting for Betty this time out. As you can probably guess from the title....

This issue has some of my all-time favourite scenes in it, which I've written about previously... even though it was tough to write. It's a big one (11k words) and there's a lot of plot to swallow, but it's all important, I promise you. When everything comes together in the next issue, you'll need to know where you stand... and trust me, what happens in this issue and next will have repercussions in the series for a loooong time to come.

Love to hear what you think of the issue; if you comment using the anonymous option, do me a favour and leave an initial or a pseudonym or something so I know who's talking! Email always welcome as well. After last week's issue the mailbox has been bare, so I'd like reassuring you're all out there...!

  3. Definitely a very solid bit, though it succeeds because we are now waiting in eager anticipation for the next issue.

Can't wait for the next installment, it was very nice.

  4. A wonderful issue, Ghostly. I've read it 3 times so far. The masking scene and her reaction to it was just great!

  5. Sounds like I'd better rush over there and get a copy before they're all gone! Lol

The series has been getting better and better, GW. Not just 'cause we're getting to know the characters and eager to see what's next. Your writing of these gets smoother and more natural with each issue.

Going over to grab #11 right now!

  6. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's commented so far. It really means a lot.

Saying that might sound hollow, but when you spend hours writing and rewriting (and rewriting...) it's great to hear that the people you're doing the writing for actually enjoy the end result.

So thanks. I have a feeling #12 won't be greeted with quite as much excitement, but, hey... they can't all be home runs. ;)
