Here's my writing layout in Scrivener today:
Yes, I deliberately made the image small. No spoilers! If you could see the left hand pane you'd see my entire outline for most of Chapters 4-8 of Housesitting. With important key words like 'unmasks', 'fantasies', 'sex' and 'costume'. To pick them randomly.
The image reference is kind of obvious, though, even at this size. It's just one scene, but I strive for authenticity....
Is Scrivener helpful for your writing?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
ReplyDeleteFor the actual process of getting words down it's fine - just as good as any word processor and there are a few extra concessions to 'the process'. But as a place where you can plot, outline, track themes, organize and so on, it cannot be beat. For that alone it's worth the money. When I started writing BBSSG in 'earnest' it was a godsend, really. And I'm still discovering features.
